This specimen was lot 22529 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $493.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREENLAND. 5 Kroner, 1944. NGC MS-65. Nice strike with soft satin luster. Brilliant with excellent eye appeal." This one year type minted at Philadelphia is not difficult to find except in choice condition. It was issued for use by the American occupation of the island. The SCWC notes that all Greenlander coins were withdrawn in 1967 and replaced with Danish coins.
