This specimen was lot 56301 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREECE. 5 Lepta, 1841. Otto. NGC AU Details--Environmental Damage." This type was struck 1833-42. The 1841 is noted as a fairly common date but it is expensive in nice condition. This example realized about one quarter of the catalog value. King Otto, originally a Bavarian princeling, fell foul of the local politicians and was forced to abdicate in 1863.
