This specimen was lot 24114 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Halfpenny 1865, Laureate or Bun Head, clear date, MS65 RB NGC, mostly golden red and a beauty, with a fairly sharp strike, obvious die-clashing. Better date." This type was struck 1860-74 with a slightly modified obverse extending to 1894.
