This specimen was lot 40497 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, 1732. London Mint. George II. PCGS MS-62. An eye-catching Mint State representative of this elegant "Young Head" type, sporting handsome old-time toning and gentle glossy luster. The portrait is boldly impressed, with particularly strong detail to the hair and the interesting lion's head on the king's shoulder armor, which appears on all his silver coinage. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1731-36; the plumes were deleted for the issue of 1739 and 1741.
