This specimen is not a coin but a tram token from the Italian city of Genoa, issued in 1944 in the final days of the Fascist regime. Genoa was not liberated by Allied forces until March or April 1945, about the time Mussolini was captured and shot. The tramway system suffered so much damage from lack of maintenance and bombing that it was never rebuilt, buses being used instead.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: aluminum.
