This specimen was lot 1267 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €260 (about US$360 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SUISSE, GENEVE, Ville, Cu 12 sols (florin), 1590. Monnaie de nécessité. D/ Écu dans un soleil. R/ Légende de six lignes. (Switzerland, city of Geneva, copper twelve sols or florin of 1590, necessity coinage. Obverse: arms over a sunburst; reverse: six line inscription. Extremely Fine.)"

The early coinage of Geneva is rare. One thaler was 96 sols and one sol was four quarts.
