French Polynesia 1975 10 francs

This specimen was struck for French Polynesia by the Paris mint, which has issued this type sporadically since 1972. A similar coin without the "I.E.O.M." on the obverse (KM 5) was issued in 1967. French Polynesia is better known to English speakers as Tahiti. This coin shares a common obverse with other types issued for various French colonies, such as New Caledonia and the New Hebrides.
