This specimen was lot 813 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,400 (about US$4,583 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FREIBURG, STADT, Reichstaler 1726. RR Prägeschwäche im Zentrum, sonst sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Freiburg, thaler of 1726. Rare, weakly struck in center, very fine to extremely fine.)"
Freiburg was the chief city of the Breisgau, a Hapsburg possession 1368-1803, then later part of Baden. This very rare type is listed for 1726 only. Other thalers exist but all are rare.
