This specimen was lot 201 in Sincona sale 54 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,071 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankfurt, Stadt, Goldgulden 1498. Titel Maximilian I. als König. Pfandinhaber Philipp von Weinsberg, 1452-1503. Vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (Germany, city of Frankfurt, goldgulden of 1498, struck in the name of Maximilian I as king. Extremely fine, Extraordinary condition.)"
Frankfurt was an imperial free city that was the site of the diet of the Holy Roman Empire. It is now in Hesse.
