The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in France 2007-14. France began minting euros in 1999. The obverse image is loosely based on the iconic La Semuese of Oscar Roty and also appears on the twenty cent and fifty cent.

Recorded mintage: 100,000,000 plus 40,000 proofs.

Specification: 4.07 g, brass, 19.7 mm diameter.
