This specimen was lot 33987 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Republic gold Proof 'Europa' 20 Euros 2002 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. A nearly flawless golden jewel celebrating European unity and the issuance of the 'Euro' currency. Exceptionally beautiful, and also quite historical due to its subject matter." This design appeared on other silver and gold NCLT's from the Paris mint.

Recorded mintage: 3,000.

Specification: 17 g, 0.920 fine gold, 0.502 troy oz ASW, 31 mm diameter.
