This specimen was lot 99074 in Heritage sale 61259 (Dallas, TX, February 2022), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Louis XV 1/10 Ecu (12 Sols) 1717-Q F15 NGC, Perpignan mint, 1/10 Ecu Vertugadin. Flan Neuf. A seldom-seen survivor that Gadoury notes is one of the rarest of the series, which we've only located a single example coming to market in recent decades." Tenth écus were struck for Louis XV prior to the reform of 1726 but most are rare. This type had a face value of 10 sols tournois at the time of issue (1715-18).

Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common for the type[2]. Both fn and rf exist.

Specification: 3.05 g, 0.917 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
