"San Dimas $20 Type 2 Serial 1-6 Uncut Sheet San Dimas, CA - $20 1929 Ty. 2 The First NB Ch. # 10068 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. A beautiful uncut sheet on this elusive charter number that is nicely preserved with ideal color and embossing. Its 48 year path to tonight's auction is the same as the $5 uncut sheet on this bank in the previous lot. However, as lot 197 in the Lester Merkin February, 1971 auction, it is misidentified as a Type 1 sheet. We would also like to point out that the bank title layout on this $20 sheet has the lettering spread out as compared to the closely spaced lettering on the $5 uncut sheet on charter number 10068 in this auction. Overall, the $20 sheet in this lot is certainly worthy of a generous bid and should hammer, if not exceed, our estimate range of.... From the Norris Turner Collection."
