This specimen was lot 17691 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $5,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "El Centro, CA - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 618 The First NB Ch. # (P)9350, Three examples are listed in the census from this short lived Imperial County institution, two of which are in the Horwedel collection. This piece was previously part of the Colver holdings, where it brought $4400 more than five years ago. Very Good, with no problems whatsoever. Ex-CAA's Charles Colver collection sale of May, 1999, lot 1774."

This specimen was lot 17692 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $3,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "El Centro, CA - $20 1902 Date Back Fr. 644 The First NB Ch. #(P) 9350, A second note from this just plain rare bank, somewhat higher in grade than the $10 above but with some light brown staining over a fairly significant portion of both the front and back. It ought to be worth just about the same as the other El Centro note offered here. Fine." This note was offered again as lot 20269 in Heritage auction 3502 (Long Beach, CA, September 2008), where it sold for $2,640.
