The first specimen was lot 20307 in Stack's Bowers November 29-30, 2023 Collectors Choice Online Auction - U.S. Currency (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[2] noted, "Beverly Hills, California. $5 1902 Plain Back. Fr. 606. The First NB. Charter #11461. PMG Very Fine 20 EPQ. Despite the circulation seen this note displays plenty of eye appeal and tremendous originality for the grade. Always a popular locale for collectors expect some competition to acquire this piece."

The second specimen was lot 1578 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $3,525. The catalog description[1] noted, "1902, $5 National Bank Note Beverly Hills California. Fr-606. KL-1163. Series of 1902. Three folds. Dateless back. Extremely Fine."

This specimen was lot 17627 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $632.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Beverly Hills, CA - $5 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 11461, A small example from this perennially popular location. The last Series 1929 note from here we offered graded Very Good with a hole in the portrait and brought $747.50 against a pre-sale estimate of $250-350. The Horwedel collection specimen is a lot nicer in all respects. Evenly circulated Fine."
