This specimen was lot 1887 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €600 (about US$832 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FINLANDE, République (1917-), AV 100 euro, 2002. Paysage de Laponie. Encapsulé. Ecrin. Titre 0,900. (republic of Finland, since 1917, gold 100 euro of 2002, for the Lappland country. Encapsulated with box, Proof.)"
This NCLT was issued to honor Lappland, the northern part of Finland famous for reindeer and the midnight sun.
Recorded mintage: 25,000.
Specification: 8.64 g, 0.900 fine gold, 22 mm diameter, plain edge with serial number, designed by Toivo Antero Jaatinen, this specimen 8,64 g.
