This specimen was lot 1895 in Jean Elsen sale 125 (Brussels, June 2015), where it sold for €190 (about US$253 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIE, VENISE, Nicolo da Ponte (1578-1585), AR scudo della croce (7 lire ou 140 soldi), s.d. (1583-1584). Sigle CC (Cristofolo Capello). D/ Croix fleurie avec quatre petites feuilles dans les angles. R/ Ecu au lion de saint Marc. Pap. 370, 82; Paolucci 72, 9; Dav-8399. 31,40 g. Très Beau. (republic of Venice, Nicolas da Ponte (1578-85), silver scudo of the cross (seven lire or 140 soldi) without date, assayers initials CC. Obverse: floriate cross with four small leaves in the angles; reverse: shield with the lion of St. Mark, very fine.)"
