This specimen was lot 7368 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "TUVALU. 50 Dollars, 1981. NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Fr-2; KM-14. Royal wedding commemorative. Flashing brilliant fields free of any signs of handling or contact, all the more impressive as the design takes up very little of the surface."

15.98 g, .917 fine gold (double sovereign). m. 5,000 proofs. Also silver 5 dollars (KM 12). Tuvalu formerly the Ellice part of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands.
