This specimen was lot 2157 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,551 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, 1547 Kurfürstentum, Albertiner, Friedrich August II. 1733-1763 Dicker Doppeltaler 1740. Dresden 58.02 g. Kahnt 528. Schnee 1027. Dav-2664. Von grösster Seltenheit. Schön-sehr schön. Flaue Stellen. (electorate of Saxony, Frederick August II, 1733-63, double thaler of 1740, Dresden mint. Of the highest rarity, Fine-very fine, Weak areas.)"
