This specimen was lot 1119 in Jean Elsen sale 123 (Brussels, December 2014), where it sold for €160 (about US$233 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Johann Friedrich et Moritz (1542-1547), AR Taler, 1542, Annaberg. Droit: B. de l'électeur à droite, tenant une épée sur l'épaule. Revers: B. cuirassé à droite, tenant l'épée à la garde. Schnee, 104; Dav-9730. 28,74 g. Petite fêlure du flan et trace de monture. Très Beau. (Saxony, John Frederick and Maurice (1542-47), silver thaler of 1542, Anna berg mint. Obverse: bust of the elector to right, bearing a sword on his shoulder; reverse: armored bust to right, holding a sword. Slightly weak strike and trace of a mount, very fine.)"
