This specimen was lot 30598 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $3,525. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nicholas I silver 10 Kopecks 1827 CПБ-HГ MS65 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-144, UZD-1516. Obv. Crowned doubled-headed eagle, with wings down, with date below. Rev. Crowned value in wreath. Superbly struck, with fully prooflike fields beneath gun-metal gray toning with amber and teal highlights. A spectacular example, and none have been certified finer."
