This specimen was lot 24061 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "Prussia. Wilhelm I 5 Mark 1876-A, KM503, MS64 PCGS, a deep blanket of multicolored patination caresses the surfaces with close inspection failing to yield any noteworthy issues. A very scarce item in this condition and extra-appealing to the connoisseur of originality."
