This specimen was lot 30337 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Pedro II gold 4000 Reis 1692/90-(L) MS61 NGC, Lisbon mint, KM156, Fr-76. A wonderful example of this type featuring nicely-styled and fully-struck design elements atop surfaces that are a pleasing shade of harvest gold. The overdate is readily apparent and further adds to the interest of this lustrous, Mint State specimen."
