This specimen was lot 484 in Aureo y Calicó sale 261 (Barcelona, July 2014), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,364 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"1779. Carlos III. Lima. MJ. 8 escudos. (Cal. 35) (Cal. Onza 703). Leves hojitas. Parte de brillo original. MBC/MBC+. (Charles III, 1759-88, eight escudos of 1779, Lima mint. Planchet flaws, some luster, very fine or better.)"
