This specimen was lot 24549 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEW ZEALAND. Christchurch. J. Caro & Co. Penny Token, ND (1860-64). By: Stokes Melb. NGC MS-62 BN. Andrews-62; Lampard-309; KM-TN11; Gray-41; Renniks-74. Rarity 3-4. Man plowing field left, 'Trade and Agriculture' above 'Stokes Melb.' at feet; Reverse: 'J. Caro & Co. High St.' within solid boarder, "General Ironmongers: Christchurch:" around. Attractive with a nice strike and pleasing patina. From the James Heegeman Collection."
