This specimen was lot 23046 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $616.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEW ZEALAND. 1/2 Penny, 1963. PCGS PROOF-63 RB. KM-23.2. VERY RARE. Mintage believed to be between 10-20 pieces. Sharply struck as would be expected and fully lustrous with flashy proof surfaces. Beautiful burgundy tone in the open fields which transitions to a greenish-brown near the edge and just a hit of original mint red hugging portions of the legend of the obverse creating a nice contrast to the devices. The reverse has the same lovely burgundy throughout with hints of original mint red hugging the devices again creating a nice contrast. Quite a lovely example and sure to entice spirited bidding."
