This specimen was lot 23312 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Escudo, 1831-GaFS. Guadalajara Mint. PCGS Genuine--Repaired, AU Details Secure Holder. Fr-113; KM-378.2. RARE date. Several scratches appear in the fields and there is some metal movement on the book and hand, likely made with the intent of disguising a more obvious flaw."
