This specimen was lot 21166 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. War of Independence. Durango. 2 Reales, 1811-RM. FINE. KM-92.2; Cal-Type-238#864. VERY RARE. One year type with "DURANGO" spelled out in the reverse legend. Never cleaned, fully original, and of significant historical interest. Struck on a flan with minor lamination problems, but overall an outstanding example of this seldom ever offered and RARE type."
