This specimen was lot 21229 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Pesos, 1889-AsL. NGC MS-63. Fr-129; KM-413. Mintage of only 5,615 pieces. Second finest certified of the date at NGC with only one finer(MS64). A choice specimen from a seldom seen mint for gold. Though not as rare as its short lived 20 Pesos counterpart still SCARCE in its own right especially so in this state of preservation. Highly lustrous with flashy surfaces and frosted devices. A lovely example sure to excite the connoisseur of Mexican and World gold collectors alike."
