This specimen was lot 991 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €950 (about US$1,281 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÜBECK, STADT, Reichstaler 1742, mit Titel Karls VII. und dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Heinrich Balemann. Mit Randschrift. Behrens 195; Dav-2418; J. 35. Attraktives Exemplar, vorzüglich. (city of Lubeck, thaler of 1742, struck in the name of Charles VII and the initials of mayor Henry Balemann, with edge lettering. Attractive example, extremely fine.)"
KM 160, 1742-JJJ, 29.2 g, .888 fine silver, XF $1,750. issued for the pretender.
