This specimen was lot 983 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €600 (about US$809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÖWENSTEIN, LÖWENSTEIN-WERTHEIM-ROCHEFORT, GRAFSCHAFT, Karl Thomas, 1735-1789. Konv.-Taler 1769, Wertheim. Dav. - (vgl. 2408); Wibel 302 (dort unediert). Äußerst seltene Variante. Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich/vorzüglich. (county of Lowenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort, Charles Thomas, 1735-89, convention thaler of 1769, Wertheim mint. Extremely rare variety. Attractive example with fine patina, very fine to extremely fine.)"
