This specimen was lot 981 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$4,044 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÖWENSTEIN, LÖWENSTEIN-WERTHEIM-ROCHEFORT, GRAFSCHAFT, Maximilian Karl, 1662-1718. Reichstaler 1697, Wertheim. Dav-6914; Wibel 210. RR Attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (county of Lowenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort, Maximilian Charles, 1662-1718, thaler of 1697, Wertheim int. Rare, attractive example with handsome toning, minor edge defects, very fine to extremely fine.)"
