This specimen was lot 33387 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "Meiji 20 Sen Year 9 (1876) MS66 NGC, KM-Y24. The quintessential example of a radiant piece with full cartwheel flashes that follow the surfaces of the coin as it is rotated in hand. The highest graded example in the NGC census, this piece surely commands a premium bid. Type II with the character "sen" disconnected."
5.39 g, .800 fine silver, 23.5 mm diameter, m. 9,200,892 (all varieties). struck 1873-77, 1880, 1885-88, 1891-1900.
