This specimen was lot 2228 in Sincona sale 33 (Zurich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Hessen-Darmstadt, Landgrafschaft, Ludwig VIII. 1739-1768 Konventionstaler 1764. KUPFERABSCHLAG. Schütz 3027 Cu. Vorzüglich-FDC. ANACS AU58 Details. Schrötlingsfehler und Kratzer. (landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt, Louis VIII, 1739-68, convention thaler of 1764, copper strike. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Planchet faults and scratches.)"
