This specimen was lot 41091 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $3,120. The catalog description[1] noted, "HAITI. 1/2 Escalin, ND (1802). NGC VF-35. KM-21; Rudman-24. Revolutionary government issue (1798-1802). Evenly struck with full details visible and medium gray toning over lightly marked surfaces. RARE. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II."
