This specimen was lot 799 in Jean Elsen sale 140 (Brussels, March 2019), where it sold for €9,500 (about US$12,653 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, GRONINGEN, Stad, AV halve Gentse nobel, 1583. Met klop stadswapen (6-7 maart 1590). Vz/ Gekroonde krijger in een schip met zwaard en leeuwenschild. Op de achtersteven, leeuwtje dat een banier met een leeuw vasthoudt. In het veld, N-T. Omschrift eindigend op GANDA-·FLAND·. Kz/ Gebloemd kruis in een achtpas met lelies op de uiteinden en in het hart een roosje. In de hoeken, vier gekroonde leeuwen. van der Meer, JMP 48 (1961), p. 71-77, pl. IX, 5 (nobel); Ives, ABSMN II (1947), p. 53-61 (nobel); Delm. - (zie 1151-1153, nobel); Martiny, Gent, -. 3,34 g Uniek en ongepubliceerd. Zeer Fraai à Prachtig.
