This specimen was lot 822 in Jean Elsen list 269 (Brussels, July-August 2014), where it was offered for €650 (about US$884). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Royaume, Friedrich August II (1836-1854), AR double Taler, 1840 G, Belle patine. Superbe (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick August II (1836-54), silver doulbe thaler of 1840. Nice patina, extremely fine.)"
