This specimen was lot 348 in Sincona sale 54 (Zurich, May 2019), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,071 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankreich, konigreich, Louis XIV. 1643-1715. Louis dor à la mèche longue 1652 D, Lyon. 6.65 g. Gadoury 245. Fr-418. Sehr schön. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV, 1643-1715, gold louis of the long lock of 1652, Lyon mint. Very fine.)"
est. m. 20,396, scarce. D mint struck the short lock until 1656 including 2,479 for 1652. D mint struck the long lock 1652-54, 1657-59, all dates rare. Gad-245: R, TB 900.
