This specimen was lot 351 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,080 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankreich, Louis XIV. 1643-1715. Louis dor au soleil 1710 A, Paris. 8.07 g. Gadoury 256. Fr-444. Sehr schön. Leichte Fassungsspuren. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV, 1643-1715, louis d'or of the sunburst of 1710, Paris mint. Very fine, Minor traces of mounting.)"
D/4 no. 417, Dr/2 no. 278. 8.15 g, .917 fine gold, 24-26 mm diameter, reeded edge. 1710-A is a common date for the type (m. 417,109, TTB+ 2,000 euro).
