This specimen was lot 774 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,520 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XIV (1643-1715), AV demi-louis d'or à l'écu, 1690X, Amiens. 1e réformation. D/ T. vieillie à d., coiffée d'une perruque laurée. R/ Ecu de France couronné. Dupl. 1436A; Gad-239. 3,30 g Rare Fines griffes. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV (1643-1715), gold half louis d'or of the shield of 1690, Amiens mint, first reformation. Obverse: Old head to right, wearing wig and laurel wreath; reverse: crowned arms of France. Rare, fine scratches, Very Fine.)"
