This specimen was lot 727 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it sold for €600 (about US$760 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Charles VIII (1483-1498), AV écu d'or au soleil, 2e émission (juillet 1494), Type spécial à Perpignan. D/ (rose initiale) CAROLVS FRANCO-RVM DEI GRACI RX Ecu de France couronné sous un soleil. Couronnelle à l'exergue, coupant la légende. R/ (lis initial) SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM REX Croix fleurdelisée avec lettre P en coeur. Dupl. 577A; Ci. 798; Laf. 554g. 3,32 g Rare. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Charles VIII (1483-98), gold écu d'or au soleil, second issue (July 1494), special type of Perpignan. Obverse: crowned arms below sunburst; reverse: floriate cross with "P" in the center. Rare, very fine.)"
