This specimen was lot 1040 in Jean Elsen sale 138 (Brussels, September 2018), where it sold for €240 (about US$333 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XIV (1643-1715), AR écu aux palmes, 1695T, Nantes. Flan neuf. D/ B. cuir. à d. R/ Ecu de France rond, couronné, entre deux palmes. Dupl. 1520; Gad-217. 27,24 g Très rare Traces d'ajustage. Très Beau. (kingdom of France, Louis XIV, 1643-1715, silver écu of palms of 1695, nantes mint, new planchet. Obverse: armored bust to right; reverse: crowned round arms of France between two palms. Very rare, traces of adjustment marks, very fine.)"
Dr/4 no. 618, Dr/2 no. 412. 1695-T m. 76,082, all rf, slightly better date (TTB+ 320 euro vs. 200 for 1695-9).
