This specimen was lot 1031 in Jean Elsen sale 137 (Brussels, June 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Louis XV (1715-1774), AV double louis d'or au bandeau, 1758BB, Strasbourg. D/ T. à g., ceinte d'un bandeau. R/ Ecus ovales de France et de Navarre sous une couronne. Dupl. 1642; Gad-346. 16,27 g Légèrement nettoyé. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of France, Louis XV, 1715-74, gold double Louis of the ribbon of 1758, Strasbourg mint. Obverse: head left, hair tied in a ribbon; reverse: oval arms of Franc and Navarre under a crown. Lightly cleaned, very fine to extremely fine.)"

Dr/4 no. 792, m. 407,076, highest reported mintage for the type. struck at Strasbourg 1742-49, 1756-64, 1766-72.
