This specimen was lot 20351 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "CYPRUS. Piastre, 1882-H. PCGS AU-53 BN. KM-3.2. THE KEY! The finest graded at PCGS by an incredible 13 point margin, and missing from nearly every collection of the series. Mintage of only 18,000 with virtually all surviving examples showing signs of heavy circulation. An alluring example with generous amounts of remaining detail, especially for the assigned grade, and even brown patination. For collectors of British Commonwealth coinage struck at Heaton, a must have addition."
