This specimen was lot 12105 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1822-JF 8 Escudos. Bogotá mint. Restrepo M165.1. AU-58 (PCGS). Lustrous light yellow gold with some old encrustation adding contrast to the peripheral legends. Very nicely struck for this issue, with full central detail on the reverse. Well centered, frosty and pleasing. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins. From Stack's sale of May 1971, lot 816."
