This specimen was lot 29452 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $4,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "Lower Canada. Bank of Montreal. "Side View" 1/2 Penny Token 1838 MS63+ Brown NGC, Br-524, LC-10A3, Courteau-31, 10.35 gm. Medal alignment, left fence has 11 pailings. Copper. Glittering even brown surfaces. From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."
KM Tn15, did not circulate, rare. also struck 1839, also very scarce.
