This specimen was lot 4182 in Ponterio sale (New York, January 2012), where it sold for €1,180. The catalog description[1] noted, "COSTA RICA. Banco Internacional de Costa. 2 Colones, 2.3.1938. P-195c. A simply stunning example of this popular large size design which shows with radiant inks throughout and lovely original paper. Well centered and surely among the finest available."
