This specimen was lot 691 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €725 (about US$977 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Georg II. 1727-1760. 16 Gute Groschen (1/2 Reichstaler) 1741, Clausthal. Dav. 444; Welter 2587. RR Hübsche Patina, sehr schön +. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, George II, 1727-60, 16 gute groschen or half thaler of 1741, Clausthal mint. Rare, handsome patina, very fine or better.)"
