This specimen was lot 533 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,146 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Rudolf August, 1666-1685. Reichstaler 1671, Clausthal, auf die Eroberung der Stadt Braunschweig. Dav-6384; Welter 1837. Feine Patina, min. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, Rudolf Augustus, 1666-85, thaler of 1671, Clausthal mint, on the conquest of the city of Brunswick. Fine patina, small edge crack, extremely fine.)"
