Christian Ernst (1655-1712). NGC MS-65. Dav-6273; KM-80. Finest certified example. A very appealing and interesting piece. Struck to commemorate the marriage of Christian Ernst to Sophie Luisa von Wurttemberg. Radiant sun next to the planet Venus, across the zodiac with Leo and Virgo; Reverse: A crowned eagle with the arms of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and Württemberg. Toned with its natural lustrous surfaces showing through. Well struck with very sharp details. A superb example with great eye appeal. From the Rockaway Collection."
